When we’re living for ourselves, gobbling up pleasure and running like hell from pain, despair is always nipping at our heels.
But the good news is: we don’t have to live this way in the world. We can live for each other and have heaven here and now: the Jesus-magic love-bombing all-nighter, where ego boundaries fall away, where we can learn to pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances, and rejoice always no matter what is going on, because we’re not alone anymore. We’ll never be alone again.
- When was a time that despair was nipping at your heels?
- In your own words, what does it look like to have heaven here and now?
