Profound Acts Of Love

Third John reminds us that profound acts of love can be hidden within simple gestures of hospitality, a kind of hospitality that is desperately needed in a culture that cultivates fear and rejection of outsiders based on their ethnicity or religion.

And so, may you come to see this God whose welcoming embrace reaches all people. May you find ways to extend that hospitality to the outsiders in your community. And may you find life and hope and meaning in the faces of the strangers that pass your way.

  1. In what ways does our culture cultivate fear and rejection of outsiders?
  2. How have you experienced a God “whose welcoming embrace reaches all people?”
